Garden 2009

The edible landscape is hitting it's stride. I have begun my battle with the squirrels for harvesting rights to the strawberries and raspberries Elsewhere in the garden the broccoli is huge but not flowering, the second round of lettuce is coming up fast, the cucumbers are starting to climb. the corn stalks are shading the dill, the potatoes are flowering, the garlic is nearly ready to harvest, the melon vines have their first flowers, and the green tomatoes are wondering where that 90 degree heat went. It is hard to believe that it is nearly time to start thinking about getting those fall crops going.
